Secret Meeting Between Shahbaz Sharif and Jahangir Tareen Khan Revealed

It has been known that a few days ago, the opposition leader and PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif had a secret meeting with angry PTI leader Jahangir Tareen Khan. Both leaders discussed the Imran Khan government and its fate. When contacted, Jahangeer Tareen Khan did not comment on this important meeting in the context of the opposition’s motion of no-confidence against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Without confirming or denying the meeting with Shahbaz Sharif, Jahangir Tareen said that members of his group belonging to the ruling party in the National and Provincial Assemblies have given him the mandate to take any political decision. He said that as a politician he believed in dialogue with other politicians and such contacts are part of politics.

He said that everyone is worried about the country’s economic situation and rising inflation. He also said that the members of parliament in his group were of the opinion that they could not remain indifferent to the worries and difficulties of the people. In response to a question, Jahangir Tareen Khan said that the number of parliament members in this group is more than 30%.

Jahangir Tareen Did Not Confirm or Deny the Secret Meeting With Shahbaz Sharif

A large number of parliament members belonging to the group of angry PTI leader Jahangir Tareen Khan have met twice this week in Lahore and have expressed their full confidence in Jahangir Tareen and promised to support him.

According to a media report, the Parliament Members attended a dinner hosted by Anu Chaudhry, brother and close associate of MPA Jahangeer Tareen, Amin Chaudhry, last Tuesday. Among those who participated in the function, were members of National Assembly Khawaja Shiraz, Sardar Riaz Mazari, Raja Riaz, Mubeen Alam Anwar, Ghulam Lali, Provincial Ministers Numan Langarial, Ajmal Cheema, Advisor to Chief Minister Faisal Jabuna, Abdul Hai Dasti, Members of Provincial Assembly Chaudhry Zawar, Aslam Bharwana, Tahir Randhawa, Salman Naeem, Omar Aftab Dhillon, senior politician Ishaq Khakwani and others.

According to sources that the consultative meeting of the Tareen group will be held at the residence of Anu Chaudhry in Lahore and Aun Chaudhry will host a dinner party in honor of the members of parliament of the Tareen group.

Tareen Group Announced To Play A Role In Current Political Situation

Talking to the media after a consultative meeting in Lahore, PTI leader Jahangir Tareen said that in the current critical situation, it was necessary for all to come together. He said that it was difficult for the people to face the storm of inflation so we considered the situation in the country and the situation of inflation in the meeting and decided consultations should be continued on the current country situation.

Jahangir Tareen said that we are politicians; we should keep in touch with everyone and will continue to do so while he said that he did not talk about the no-confidence motion. Besides, he said that Imran Khan was requested to focus on the economy and people get relief.

According to sources, 06 MNAs and 20 Members of the Punjab Assembly attended the consultative meeting of the group while the absent leaders were consulted on the telephone.

The group, led by Jahangir Tareen, met a few days ago while watching a PSL match in the lounge of Gaddafi Stadium. The Tareen Group decided to move forward together and expressed confidence in the leadership of Jahangir Tareen. Taking to media, Jahangir Tareen said that it is important to sit down and talk for the solution of the problems facing the country. Replying to the question, Jahangir Tareen said that there was no discussion in the meeting regarding the no-confidence motion.

Tareen Group Has Confidence in Jahangir’s Leadership

Referring to the meeting with political leaders, he said that politicians stay in touch with each other and this will continue to happen in the future also. However, in the confidential meeting between Shahbaz Sharif and Jahangir Tareen, which was kept secret and the party leaders concerned were not even aware of it. The two leaders allegedly talked about ways and means to get rid of the Imran Khan government.

Sources said that no-confidence motion was also discussed. Interestingly, the activities of the opposition regarding the no-confidence motion are being kept secret. Some politicians of Noon League, PPP, and JUI-F know what is cooking in the background. Even many senior leaders belonging to these parties do not know what is going on in the background.
