The Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Rawalpindi had scheduled the annual examination for class 9 to start on 18th April 2023. The exams were progressing as per schedule until the last three papers had to be postponed due to the deteriorating political situation and nationwide protests over the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan. As a result, the Rawalpindi Board had to postpone the exams for these three papers, causing a delay in the examination schedule.

The Rawalpindi Board had to cancel three papers of the class 9 examination 2023, namely Quran Translation, Chemistry, General Science, and Islamiat, which understandably caused a lot of anxiety and stress among students who had worked hard for a whole year in preparation for these exams.
